// EXPANDED CRITIQUE

So, I'm not even kidding when I say that THE AIR WAR had me hooked from start to finish. The fantasy-meets-spy-action combo is already a winner for me, but add in some seriously cool magic and Orthopters (whatever those are) and you've got a recipe for pure awesomeness. And let's not forget the foreshadowing - I mean, who doesn't love being teased with hints of what's to come? It kept me on my toes and left me dying to know what happens next. What really impressed me was how seamlessly all these elements came together. The action scenes were intense and well-paced, while the magic and Orthopters added a level of depth and intrigue that I wasn't expecting. And don't even get me started on the characters - they're complex and multi-dimensional in a way that made me genuinely care about what happened to them. All in all, THE AIR WAR is an absolute blast from start to finish, and I'm definitely stoked to dive into the next two books in this series!

Original Micro-Review: "Look, a fantasy blitzkrieg sounds crazy, but when you throw in spies and orthopters and magic? It's pretty frickin' awesome. Plus, we get some foreshadowing of the mysterious end game... Only two more to go in this awesome series! ⭐⭐⭐⭐"
