Another installment in the Beware of Chicken series and, honestly, just as ridiculous as the first one. This time around, our feathered friends take off on some solo escapades - the rooster gets lost in a corn maze, while the fish goes on a wild ride through the sewer system (because why not, right?). And, of course, the cat is up to its old tricks, getting all huffy and jealous because there's a new houseguest in town. I mean, who wouldn't be annoyed when someone steals your spotlight (or in this case, your food)?
What I love about these books is that they're just so... silly. There's no pretension, no attempt to teach you a lesson or make you think deeply about the human condition. Nope, it's just pure, unadulterated fun. And, you know what? That's exactly what we need sometimes. I mean, who doesn't enjoy a good laugh and some lighthearted entertainment? So, if you're in the mood for something that will put a smile on your face and remind you not to take life too seriously, then Beware of Chicken 2 is the book for you.
Original Micro-Review: "Again, a silly book. The rooster and fish go off on a separate adventures; the cat is jealous of the houseguest; the camera is invented. I mean... I enjoyed it. ⭐⭐⭐"
