I'm thrilled to be back in the world created by Lindsay Buroker, one of my go-to authors when I need a healthy dose of adventure and magic. "Marked by Magic" had me hooked from the get-go, especially since it's been a while since we've checked in with some of these beloved characters. The story follows a half-dark-elf farmer, who's got more than her fair share of challenges on the farm, but that's not all she's dealing with - she's also navigating a complicated romance with a half-dragon love interest. I loved watching them navigate their feelings and the obstacles in their path. What really stood out to me was how seamlessly Buroker weaves together action, humor, and heartwarming moments. The world-building is as rich and immersive as ever, with plenty of nods to previous books that will delight fans. And let's not forget the magic - it's still one of my favorite aspects of this series! Overall, "Marked by Magic" was a wonderful return visit for me, and I'm so glad to be back in this world. So good indeed!

Original Micro-Review: "After a long hiatus, jumping back to one of my favorite authors in the world of Death Before Dragons, this time tracking (ha!) a half-dark-elf farmer and her half-dragon love interest. So good! ⭐⭐⭐⭐"
