I mean, seriously, who writes a trilogy that's this well-crafted? Rebecca Yarros is basically doing the most with her Onyx Storm series - and I'm still trying to wrap my head around how good it actually is. Like, I've read some great books in my time, but these ones... they're something special.
I think what really gets me is that you can't help but get invested in the characters. Yarros has this way of making them feel so real and relatable - flaws and all. And then she goes and throws them into these intense situations that'll keep you on edge, wondering how they'll manage to come out on top. It's like, I'm low key kinda mad I gotta wait for the next one because I need to know what happens to these people! The world-building is also ridiculously good - it's all so immersive and detailed. Overall, if you haven't checked out this series yet... what are you even doing with your life?
Original Micro-Review: "Look, these books have no right to be this good. I'm low key kinda mad I gotta wait for the next one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐"
