This book takes the themes from Books 1 and 2 and goes deeper. Howard explores post-death love; Bill and Riker defend humanity; Thor questions their role as servants of humanity; Bob deals with his immortality. It's fantastic. Action-packed and heart-warming all at once. Onto book 4!
